A Diesel Plant Fitter specialises in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy-duty diesel engines, machinery, and hydraulic systems, including diagnosing mechanical/electrical faults of the fleet.

Logistics -Workshop

Purpose:

To work in support of the Fleet Controller in inspecting, diagnosing damaged diesel motors, repairing them and ensuring their long-term maintenance.

Requirements:

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Matric Certificate
  • Diploma in diesel mechanics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience
  • Recognized apprenticeship (Certificate III or Class 1 Journeyman card).
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and hydraulic systems.
  • Welding skills (Oxy, MIG, TIG) for repairing parts.
