Supervised Contact Worker

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Supervised Contact Worker, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14.30 - £18.68 per hour

Summary:

This role supports the delivery of safe, positive, and child-focused Family Time sessions between children and their families. Sessions may take place within Contact Centres, Children & Family Centres, the local community, and occasionally within family homes.

The post holder will help ensure high-quality supervised contact arrangements while promoting the wellbeing, safety, and emotional needs of children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise Family Time sessions between children and families
  • Ensure visits are safe, positive, and child-focused
  • Observe, record, and report interactions accurately
  • Work across contact centres, community venues, and family homes when required
  • Maintain professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures
  • Work in line with service policies, procedures, and deadlines

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and families within a statutory, voluntary, or private sector setting
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow procedures and deadlines
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child-focused practice
  • Ability to travel across Bromley venues as required
  • Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday
