Executive Assistant
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of an Executive Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.79 - £28.75 per hour
Summary:
The Executive Assistant role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the Directors' schedules, coordinating meetings, monitoring communications, and supporting a range of operational and administrative functions across the service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive diary management, administrative, and operational support to the Directors.
- Coordinate meetings, secure venues and meeting rooms, issue invitations, prepare agendas, circulate papers, and take minutes.
- Maintain action logs and monitor the completion of agreed actions.
- Ensure Directors are fully briefed and prepared for meetings and events.
- Manage meeting conflicts, issue apologies where required, and prioritise attendance in consultation with the Directors.
- Monitor shared email inboxes, identifying and responding to urgent Member enquiries and other high-priority communications.
Qualification:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
Essentials:
- Proven experience managing complex diaries and coordinating meetings for senior managers or directors.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads.
- Strong minute-taking skills and experience maintaining action logs.
- Experience monitoring shared inboxes and handling confidential correspondence.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
