Allocations and Verifications Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely with a local authority in Lambeth to assist with the appointment of an Allocations and Verifications Officer, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £22.51- £29.67 per hour
Summary:
The Allocations and Verifications Officer will provide a high-quality, customer-focused and responsive housing allocations service to Lambeth tenants, residents and applicants seeking social housing, transfers and other housing opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an efficient, timely and customer-focused housing allocations service to tenants, residents and housing applicants.
- Allocate Council properties and make nominations to Housing Associations, Housing Co-operatives and other social housing providers.
- Process applications for transfers, social housing and relevant mobility schemes in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
- Comply with Council health and safety, equality, diversity, safeguarding and information governance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
- Training or qualification in housing allocations, verification, fraud awareness or related areas would be advantageous.
Essentials:
- Experience of working within a housing allocations, housing needs, homelessness, tenancy or related housing service.
- Experience of assessing and verifying applications against defined eligibility and qualification criteria.
- Experience of applying policies, procedures and legislative requirements to housing decisions.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
