Job Description:

Rate of Pay: £358.77- £474.29 per day
Summary:
Sefton MBC is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager – Children's Social Care to lead the Immediate Response and Assessment Team in delivering high-quality safeguarding and assessment services for children, young people, and their families. The postholder will provide strong operational leadership, professional supervision, and performance management to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled in accordance with children's social care legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and council policies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Immediate Response and Assessment Team to deliver high-quality statutory children's social care services.
- Ensure children are safeguarded through robust assessment, risk analysis, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Support Newly Qualified Social Workers (ASYE) and experienced practitioners in their professional development.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording using the Integrated Children's System (ICS) and other case management systems.
- Authorise expenditure and ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve value for money.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Essentials:
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience managing complex safeguarding, child protection, and assessment cases.
- Strong knowledge of children's safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
