Venue & Event Manager
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Venue & Event Manager, on a 7-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.90 - £24.76 per hour
Summary:
The Venue & Event Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities, securing venue hire bookings, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring all events are delivered to exceptional standards. This role combines commercial sales, client relationship management, event planning and operational delivery within a high-profile venue environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and event delivery journey.
- Drive venue hire sales and identify new business opportunities to maximise revenue generation.
- Manage the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of corporate, public and private events.
- Conduct venue show rounds, presentations and client meetings to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, contracts and procurement documentation in accordance with council procedures.
- Produce detailed event specifications, event management plans and post-event reports, including profit and loss analysis.
Qualification:
- Event Management qualification or equivalent practical experience.
Essentials:
- Experience within Venue Management, Event Management, Sales, Operations or Logistics Management.
- Proven experience coordinating internal teams, contractors and external suppliers to deliver successful events.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience securing business opportunities and maximising revenue.
- Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience producing management reports, financial reports and event profit and loss analysis.
