Housing Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rugby to assist with the appointment of a Housing Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.35 - £24.28 per hour
Summary:
The Housing Officer will provide a comprehensive housing management service to Council tenants, delivering advice, support and guidance while ensuring tenancies are effectively managed and sustained. The role involves working directly with residents through office appointments, home visits, telephone and written communication, as well as working closely with internal teams and external agencies to resolve housing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective housing management services to Council tenants.
- Advise and support residents through face-to-face meetings, home visits, telephone, email and written correspondence.
- Manage tenancy reviews, transfers, mutual exchanges and succession cases.
- Investigate breaches of tenancy conditions and take appropriate enforcement action.
- Manage anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes, working with agencies such as the Police and Social Services.
Essentials:
- Relevant experience in a customer-focused environment, with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and deal effectively with challenging situations.
- Full current UK driving licence.
