We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Central Bedfordshire to assist with the appointment of a Private Sector Housing Team Leader, on a 9-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £32.00 - £42.24 per hour

Summary:

A Private Sector Housing Team Leader is required to lead and manage specialist housing services, ensuring the regulation and improvement of private sector housing conditions across Central Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Environmental Health Officers and Technical Officers
• Use statutory powers to regulate and improve private sector housing
• Support the delivery of Housing Assistance programmes and policies
• Manage complex housing and HMO cases and provide expert advice
• Review prosecution files, tribunal cases and financial penalty notices

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in Private Sector Housing / Environmental Health
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, HMO regulation and statutory enforcement
• Experience managing complex cases and enforcement action
• Experience leading and managing professional teams
• Strong knowledge of prosecutions, tribunals and financial penalties

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
