 Job Description:

We are working closely with a local authority in Slough to assist with the appointment of a Move-On & Resettlement Officer, on a 2-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £21.98- £29.00 per hour

Summary:

The Move-On & Resettlement Officer plays a key role in supporting households living in temporary accommodation to transition into safe, suitable, and sustainable long-term housing, primarily within the Private Rented Sector (PRS). The postholder works closely with vulnerable individuals and families to identify suitable housing options, remove barriers to resettlement, and promote independence through access to employment, training, and support services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support households in temporary accommodation to secure suitable long-term accommodation within the Private Rented Sector.
  • Assist households throughout the relocation and resettlement process to promote long-term housing stability.
  • Support the discharge of homelessness duties in accordance with the Housing Act, Homelessness Reduction Act, and relevant legislation.
  • Provide guidance regarding school placements and educational arrangements for families relocating outside the borough.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports where required.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.

Essentials:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, families, or households.
  • Experience providing housing advice, homelessness prevention, or resettlement services.
  • Experience managing complex caseloads and maintaining accurate records.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
