Event Production Support Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely with a local authority in Bromsgrove District and Redditch to assist with the appointment of an Event Production Support Officer, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14.13- £17.91 per hour

Summary:

The Event Production Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and successful delivery of council-led outdoor events, festivals and community celebrations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of outdoor events, festivals, civic ceremonies and community celebrations.
  • Prepare event schedules, site plans, operational timelines and maintain accurate event documentation.
  • Coordinate bookings for event infrastructure, including staging, fencing, power supply, toilets, marquees and temporary structures.
  • Assist in preparing Event Management Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Emergency Procedures and Traffic Management Plans.
  • Support procurement activities by obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders, processing invoices and monitoring event expenditure.
  • Assist with contractor performance management and ensure compliance with contractual and health and safety requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for multiple event projects while maintaining accurate records and meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in Event Management, Project Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Essentials:

  • Experience supporting the planning and delivery of outdoor events, festivals, public events or community programmes.
  • Knowledge of event management processes, health and safety requirements, risk assessments and event compliance.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, budget monitoring and financial administration.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
