Quantity Surveyor
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £299.00 - £378.53 per day
Summary:
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to carry out quantity surveying duties across assigned projects for Brierley Homes. The role will be responsible for managing commercial matters including procurement, cost and value reporting, forecasting, risk, contract administration and supply chain management, while ensuring projects are delivered in line with governance, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cost forecasting, cost control and financial reporting across assigned projects.
- Prepare profitability forecasts, budget comparisons and cash flow information.
- Monitor project financial performance through cost and value reconciliation.
- Manage interim and final accounts, applications for payment and payment assessments.
- Prepare and evaluate compensation event claims and other contractual or insurance claims.
Essentials:
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction, property or infrastructure environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost forecasting, cost control, financial reporting and commercial management.
- Experience managing contracts, subcontracts, variations/change and final accounts.
- Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly NEC and JCT.
- Experience in evaluating claims, compensation events and contractual entitlement.
