Business Support Assistant

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottingham to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant, on a 6.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £17.14 per hour

Summary:

The Business Support Assistant role will also support reception cover, telephone services, internal communications, room bookings, customer feedback and day-to-day administrative functions, while ensuring customer service, security and health and safety standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming calls to Reception, ensuring callers are answered within agreed SLAs and transferred efficiently to the appropriate person or service.
  • Provide advice and guidance to callers where appropriate.
  • Greet all visitors and provide a professional, efficient and customer-focused reception service.
  • Provide first-tier advice and general information on Council services and partner organisations.
  • Provide reception cover on a rota basis and represent the professional face and voice of Nottinghamshire County Council.
  • Maintain the internal County telephone directory, ensuring information remains accurate and is updated promptly.

Essentials:

  • Experience providing high-quality customer service in a reception, front-of-house or customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a polite, professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to greet and assist visitors in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to provide clear frontline advice and general information to customers.
  • Ability to manage incoming calls efficiently and work within agreed service level requirements.
