Neighbourhood Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely with a local authority in Slough to assist with the appointment of a Neighbourhood Officer, on a 6.5 -months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £15.55- £20.31 per hour
Summary:
The Neighbourhood Officer provides comprehensive administrative, tenancy management, and customer-focused support to the Neighbourhood Services Team, helping to deliver high-quality housing management services across a designated geographical area. The role supports tenancy sustainment, estate management, anti-social behaviour (ASB) prevention and enforcement activities, tenancy administration, void management, garage and parking asset administration, and housing-related customer services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and operational support for all aspects of tenancy management within the assigned area.
- Ensure initial rent payments are received before tenancy commencement.
- Administer mutual exchange applications from receipt through to completion.
- Provide comprehensive office and administrative support to Neighbourhood Leads, Senior Neighbourhood Officers, and the Neighbourhood Manager.
- Assist with the preparation and collation of documentation for tenancy and anti-social behaviour enforcement actions.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and payments are processed within required timescales.
- Support compliance with housing regulations, consumer standards, and statutory obligations.
Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- NVQ Level 3, A-Level qualification, or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Housing, Customer Service, or a related discipline.
Essentials:
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience producing written correspondence, reports, and records.
- Experience using databases, ICT systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities within the workplace.

- This role requires a Basic DBS
