Recruitment Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of a Recruitment Officer, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £23.53 - £30.32 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all permanent, fixed term, secondment, acting up, and agency recruitment within the Children and Families Service to ensure this is fair and transparent and carried out in line with the Children and Families Service Recruitment Protocol.
- Ensure consistent and efficient processes are in place to deliver effective and inclusive recruitment activity including in relation to advertisement of posts, shortlisting, interviews and assessments, post-interview activity and communication with candidates at all stages of
the process, and ensure these processes are in line with Council policies and are understood and shared amongst all relevant staff. This will include the implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance process to ensure expected standards are met. - Develop effective working relationships with senior managers, including the Director and Heads of Service, and the central recruitment team in HR to ensure an effective recruitment programme and to resolve any queries as they arise.
- Deliver all recruitment related sections of the Children and Families Service Workforce Development Strategy and the Children and Families Service anti-racist action plan.
- Develop and apply systems for ensuring that recruitment plans are monitored and updated, and reports prepared for senior managers on the implementation of agreed actions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant professional qualification, or equivalent recent and relevant experience.
- Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels across a variety of organisations
- Experience of developing and operating administrative systems for tracking and managing workflow, collecting and processing data and producing reports
