Positive Behaviour Support Worker

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.11 - £25.83 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • To undertake assessments and create effective support plans.
  • To undertake direct work with service users and their families/carers and/or support workers to implement the support plan and behaviour intervention methods.
  • To promote access to social, leisure and education opportunities to enrich service users quality of life.
  • To communicate effectively and sensitively with service users, parents, carers and professionals regardless of their spoken language or communication skills e.g visual supports.
  • To have an understanding of and be able to identify safeguarding concerns, undertake risk assessments, escalate and take appropriate action in line with the councils policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • PBS qualification (e.g. BTEC Level 4 Professional Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support) or equivalent professional or lived experience
  • Experience of formulating and implementing support plans and behaviour interventions and strategies
  • Knowledge of clinical frameworks Positive Behavioural Support and or Applied Behaviour Analysis

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
