We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant, on a 6 month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary

We need an experienced Business Support Officer within the Liverpool Safeguarding Children's Partnership (LSCP) Service team to support the Safeguarding Manager, the LSCP Chair, the LSCP independent scrutineer and other LSCP Team members, Board, and sub-groups to ensure local multi-agency safeguarding arrangements operate effectively and support the delivery of safeguarding arrangements to multi-agency partners across Liverpool.

Must have strong organisational, administration skills and be highly skilled in all IT systems. Must be experienced in arranging meetings, preparing agendas and accurate minute taking. Must have experienced of producing a range of reports and data.

6 month placement. Full time - 35hrs per week.
Office based within central Liverpool, hybrid working model with minimum 3 days per week on site

Experience:

  • Experience of taking accurate minutes.
  • Experience of monitoring completion of actions on time.
  • Experience of producing data and financial reports for analysis.
  • Experience of arranging a variety of meetings, preparing agendas, arranging venues, circulation of pre agenda items, distribution of minutes and outcomes from meetings.

Responsibilities:

    • To provide regular budgetary statistical and other information to the Safeguarding Manager and LSCP team members in the provision of financial protocols for services.
    • To input on all appropriate financial payments systems & run reports.
    • To liaise with Exchequer Management and LSCP team members as required to ensure all protocols, audit requirements, standing orders and systems are adhered to.
    • To arrange, attend and minute/record all LSCP Executive, Board,sub-group and panel meetings as required.
    • To collate and distribute item reports within agreed timescales and assist with the Quality Assurance of items reports as appropriate.
    • Co-ordination of committee reports and provide appropriate guidance to Safeguarding manager.
    • To ensure that minutes and decisions are distributed to authorised recipients within agreed timescales and in accordance with appropriate data protection guidelines.
    • To offer guidance to the LSCP Independent Chair, sub-group chair and members on timescales and progress actions/panel decisions as required.
    • To support the Safeguarding manager in working with the LSCP Young Advisors.
    • To work within a Performance Management Framework and to aspire towards the objective and targets set out in individual performance plans.
    • To prioritise and manage work in line with guidance from safeguarding manager and complete work to the necessary standards and timescales agreed
    • Engage in and contribute to professional development as and when appropriate.
    • Maintain confidentiality of information at all times in accordance with the information governance requirements including the principles of Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act.
    • To provide such other assistance as deemed necessary to ensure that the administrative function is carried out.
    • Engage in and contribute to personal development activities and training.
    • To carry out any other tasks reasonably required of the post holder.
    • To ensure compliance with the Councils policies on diversity, equal opportunities and health and safety.

Qualifications:

    • 5 GCSEs (A*-C, 9-4 including English) or NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent (A)
