Assessment Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Assessment Officer, on a 1-year contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £19.00 - £24.64 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide applicants with targeted advice on the Councils lettings scheme and procedure in order to maximise their sustainable housing options, and rehousing prospects.
- Provide applicants with help and support in terms of their housing
applications, and encourage them to make informed and pragmatic decisions about all of the housing options available to them. - Assessing the more complex and difficult cases to maximise rehousing
prospects. This will include liaising with a range of other professionals to
ensure all relevant information is collated. - Identifying cases of suspected fraudulent applications and referring these to the Team Manager.
- Work closely with OTs and other Health Professionals to ensure the best
possible advice to those requiring accessible homes.
Qualifications:
- Experience of engaging with colleagues, members of the public, partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Experience of deadline driven environment.
- Experience of using a variety of ICT systems.
- Experience of problem solving.
- Experience of dealing with members of the public, providing a high class service in a customerfocused environment.
- Experience of complex casework, working with vulnerable households and caseload management.
