Educational Psychologist

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of an Educational Psychologist, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £474.87 - £600.00 per Day

Responsibilities:

  • To provide interim support to the Educational Psychology Service during a period of transition from the current PEP post holder, and for a period of time into the new term.
  • To liaise, and work closely with the current PEP, and Senior EPs to ensure a smooth transition.
  • To provide management and supervision to Educational Psychologists and Trainee Educational Psychologists to ensure high quality and effective service delivery
  • To work with the Early Help Managers and Principal Officer for Health and Well-being on the strategic development of Children, Families and Community Health services
  • To plan to ensure that the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) supports the Local Authority (LA) in meeting its statutory responsibilities for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Educational Psychology at Masters/Doctoral Level
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council
  • Good Honours degree in psychology or equivalent recognised by the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience of supporting EPS at a time of change and transition ensuring that staff are supported and are able to maintain a high level of quality and delivery.

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
