Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £38.91 - £52.95 per Hour
Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer you'll play a key role in ensuring independent oversight of care planning, child protection, and fostering functions, with the aim of keeping children safe and championing their rights. In this impactful role, you will drive service quality through robust independent reviewing, monitoring safeguarding practice, and supporting Swindon's ongoing transformation through the Family Safeguarding Model.
Responsibilities:
- Provide independent oversight and review of children in care, child protection, and fostering cases.
- Champion the voice, rights, and needs of children and young people in all decision-making.
- Chair and facilitate statutory reviews and planning meetings in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together 2023.
- Offer support and challenge to operational teams to ensure high-quality, outcome-focused practice.
- Provide clear, written analysis and feedback to contribute to service improvement and audits.
Qualifications:
- Professional qualification in Social Work (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Social Work England registration.
- Relevant post-qualifying training or CPD in children's services.
Experience Required:
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in children's social care, ideally in reviewing, safeguarding, or care planning.
- Experience working within multi-agency frameworks and partnership models.
- Skilled in chairing statutory meetings and recording analytical reports.
