Digital Skills Tutor
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Digital Skills Tutor, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Hours per week: 15
Rate of Pay: £24.42 - £32.29 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To design and deliver courses in the appropriate subject area which engage disadvantaged and vulnerable Islington residents through using effective assessment tools, innovative course and lesson planning, production of resources and appropriate teaching techniques.
- To fully complete and submit to deadlines, accurate administrative paperwork related to the organisation of teaching including enrolment forms, registers, completion and achievement data, course folders, course evaluations, and other course and statistical information as required.
- To work with learners to promote regular attendance, punctuality, and progression to further learning and employment, including following up on absences where appropriate.
- To incorporate Digital Skills and Employability when designing and delivering courses in your subject area.
- To engage LBI residents through using embedding and contextualising, effective assessment tools, innovative course and lesson planning, production of resources and appropriate teaching techniques.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 teaching qualification such as PTLLS or AET is acceptable when presented with relevant teaching and industry experience.
- Minimum level two literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE, CSE, GCE, Functional Skills or equivalent)
- Substantial adult teaching experience in community or FE college settings

- This role requires an enhanced DBS
