Fire Engineer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in London to assist with the appointment of a Fire Engineer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £30.22 - £38.98 per hour

Hours Per Week: 15

Responsibilities:

  • To assess external wall reports and fire risk assessments of all residential buildings over 11m
  • Help train non-fire engineer colleagues, such as EHOs, Housing Officer and Support officers
  • Where necessary assist with drafting schedules of work, notices, and orders for enforcement under Housing Act 2004 
  • To be the lead fire safety expert for on-site inspections and accompany team of EHOs on HHSRS site visits.
  • To give advice to members of the public, other council departments, council members and interested parties on fire safety matters either in person, by phone or through correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Honours degree in fire engineering - related subject
  • Member grade with IFE

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
