We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Social Work Assistant, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £15.00 - £18.87 per Hour

Responsibilities:

• To work in partnership with individuals, and involved networks to help them identify strengths, needs and outcomes
• To support individuals to maximise their independence and coping skills
• To undertake assessments including wellbeing assessments and risk assessments with individuals and their networks, whilst considering outcomes, available resources, policy and legislation
• To undertake non-complex capacity assessments
• To make recommendations regarding packages of care to meet identified needs, considering the flexible use of all available resources to meet identified needs

Qualifications:

• GSCEs including maths & English,
• Post GCSE level Qualification
• Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism

Please note:

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an enhanced DBS
