Early Help Coordinator
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of an Early Help Coordinator, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.78 - £28.36 per Hour
Summary:
The Early Help Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening collaboration across services and partner agencies to support vulnerable children, young people, and families. The post holder will act as a central point of advice and coordination, supporting multi-agency working, facilitating early intervention, and contributing to Lewishams Family Hub and Early Help strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with a wide range of agencies (e.g., schools, police, health, voluntary sector).
- Provide training, support, and quality assurance for Family Advice Record & Plans (FARPs).
- Coordinate and facilitate Team Around the Family (TAF) and Team Around the School (TAS) meetings.
- Promote early intervention and ensure families receive timely, appropriate support.
- Act as a link between the Front Door for Families and Early Help services, supporting referrals and safeguarding processes.
- Lead on neighbourhood-based working and help develop the Family Hub model.
- Track and monitor family plans and outcomes, using data to inform continuous improvement.
Qualification:
- Relevant professional qualification or NVQ Level 4 equivalent (or substantial experience).
Essentials:
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, early help policies, and multi-agency working.
- Experience coordinating support for children and families in diverse communities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to deliver training and facilitate multi-agency meetings.
- Confident in data analysis and report writing to support service delivery.
