We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Safety Valve & HND Finance Business Partner, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £474.80 - £598.00 per Day

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly understand and manage the DSG High Needs budget and Safety Valve programme.
• Perform detailed savings calculations and update the Safety Valve model regularly.
• Conduct regular reporting and forecasting for the Safety Valve and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) programmes.
• Act as the lead for all SEND and Safety Valve finance-related queries and reports, presenting findings at Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Accountant - CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar finance business partner role, preferably within a local government or public sector setting.
• Experience as a finance professional in a large and complex public sector organisation and an understanding of the annual financial cycle and regime within local authorities
