Executive Support Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of an Executive Support Officer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.45 - £26.39 per hour

Summary:

To provide efficient, modern, and proactive administrative and organisational support to the Councils Senior Leadership Team, specifically supporting a number of Directors. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective day-to-day management and strategic oversight of directorate functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative and diary management support to Directors.
  • Draft clear, accurate, and high-quality reports, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Conduct regular research and gather complex policy information relevant to directorate activity.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary projects and provide progress updates as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of directorate priorities and advise Directors on key issues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting senior leadership or executives in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
