Deputy Registration Manager

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bristol to assist with the appointment of a Deputy Registration Manager, on a 6-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.00 - £24.89 per hour

Summary:

To enforce regulations in a relevant operational area in accordance within general guidelines and provide advice as and when appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify non compliance and enforce compliance within a specific area following departmental and Council policies, regulations and codes of practice. Ensure notification to customers of the result and giving relevant advice as appropriate.
  • Contribute to team working ensuring that colleagues are supported and team work is effective and when relevant guide less experienced staff.
  • Accurately record the details of allocated issues and queries and link to the relevant regulations, legislation and codes of practice and provide data for evidence of enforcement and compliance
  • Plan, organise and prioritise own daily work routine and non-routine tasks making sure that work is completed to set time scales.
  • Provide general or specific, technical advice which is clear, accurate and quickly given to customers on applying procedures within the field of services. Refer any complex issues and check that customers understand the responses given

Qualifications:

  • You will ideally have experience within a similar role or area of work
  • If relevant, you will hold NVQ 3 or equivalent experience.
  • You will be able to work as part of a team contributing to effective service delivery.
  • You will have planning and organisational skills
  • You will have good communication skills and an appropriate level of numeracy.
  • You will be able to set up, adjust and use equipment necessary for the work involved.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with people face to face, particularly in circumstances where they may be emotional. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Minimum of two A levels or equivalent, along with Maths and English GCSEs at grade C or above.
  • Experience of working in a team.
  • You will have the ability to work on your own and to keep the office appointments running to time whilst still making time to deal with the daily administrative tasks. 
  • You will have effective communication skills, both written and oral and excellent customer care skills commensurate with dealing with people at significant and stressful times in their lives. You will have the numeracy skills to deal with simple cash recording systems and statistics. 
  • You will demonstrate competence in using Microsoft Office and Registration on Line (RON), or the ability to develop competence with relevant training
