Housing Construction Commissioning & Contracts Manager
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Westminster to assist with the appointment of an Housing Construction Commissioning & Contracts Manager, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £390.00 - £493.74 per Day
Responsibilities:
- As part of the Commissioning & Contracts team, your key challenge will be to act as a catalyst and work with our stakeholders to improve contract management with our existing contractors, setting a benchmark for supplier relationship management and ensuring that contractors are held accountable for contract performance.
- You will also support our housing teams to bring in additional contractor resource, using your market knowledge and incorporating resident feedback and wider council priorities to develop robust specifications and performance metrics for new contracts, that will deliver the outcomes that are important to our community whilst ensuring value for money for all residents.
- Your professional qualities will include influence and leading people throughout our various departments, as well as being proactive and accountable for the delivery of your workstreams.
Qualifications:
- Professional qualifications as relevant to the role, e.g. CIPS/WorldCC (formerly IACCM)
- Has worked in a or commissioning/procurement or contract management environment with a detailed understanding of the commissioning & contract management end to end process and the key inputs that are required to complete and deliver a contract successfully, including how to utilise contract performance metrics.
- The ability and confidence to work effectively with people at all levels internally and externally, as well as independently to deliver multiple workstreams.
