Administration Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of an Administration Officer, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £15.65 - £20.11 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to meetings, by organising, booking rooms, producing minutes of meetings in agreed format. To actively engage with own team meetings to give insight on their area of work
  • To utilise the Councils financial system SAP to create vendors, raise purchase orders, and effect payments in line with financial regulations and the scheme of delegation. Monitor the process of payments, keeping all parties informed.
  • Be responsible for logging and allocating Members Enquiries, Complaints, FOI, SAR, GDPR as required. To manage the icasework by logging and closing members enquiries, complaints and general correspondence and ensure they are responded to within the allocated time.
  • Be a key point of contact in matters relating to administration duties and responsible for disseminating internal and external information to the MSHO business unit when needed and to provide support on organising MSHO related events
  • Provide adhoc support to a range of MSHO service improvement projects and work independently and on own initiative on assigned projects or work-streams; assessing and resolving issues, in line with policies and procedures, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • General understanding of how business administration supports organisations to deliver their objectives
  • Experience of managing conflicting workloads and meeting
    deadlines particularly when faced with changing priorities.
  • Experience of working on your own initiative being self- motivated and committed to providing an effective service to all clients.
