Curriculum Manager

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Curriculum Manager, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.03 - £29.12 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manager all Curriculum and Quality Assurance pertaining to the posts specific areas of responsibility (ESOL & Wellbeing or Functional & Digital Skills & Career Development).
  • To be responsible for the management of the learning programmes as agreed with the Principal including the staff, supporting the co-ordination of finances and learning resources allocated to the Curriculum Area.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of a value for money, responsive, relevant, innovative and high-quality curriculum offer that contributes to the key council priorities such as Opportunity Haringey and meets funding requirements.
  • The post holder will act as lead IQA in all subject sectors within their curriculum area and evaluate quality of education in their area as well as undertaking curriculum area reviews, reports, planning and design. They will be major contributors to the Evaluation of teaching, learning and assessment, undertaking observations, deep dives, learning walks and themed drop ins.

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 or above teaching qualification (e.g. Certificate in Education, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), City &Guilds 7407 stage 3 or Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS))
  • OR a minimum of a full level 4 teaching qualification (e.g. City &Guilds 7407 stage 2, Certificate of Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (CTLLS)) and commitment to achieving a level 5 qualification within a year.
  • OR educated to degree level with considerable management experience in Adult and Community Learning (ACL) or Further Education (FE) sector
