SEN Coordinator
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Westminster to assist with the appointment of a SEN Coordinator, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £229.07 - £290.00 per Day
Responsibilities:
- To undertake the statutory assessment process of an EHC needs assessment and the issuing of EHC Plans within twenty weeks as per the statutory deadlines, which is in accordance with The Children and Families Act 2014 and SEN Code of Practice January 2015 and relevant caselaw.
- Manage and process, under the direction of the responsible SEN Team Manager and Senior EHC Coordinator for statutory and non-statutory casework within legal and internal timelines for an allocated caseload, including complex cases and those involving appeal hearings and other legal proceedings.
- To be a champion for the use of technology (such as the case management system) to record, track and monitor our ways of working to both manage performance and inform business intelligence.
- Ensure that systems are clearly and consistently updated with all relevant information in a timely manner.
- Ensure that client confidentiality is maintained in line with the Councils policies.
