Statutory Compliance and Safety Manager

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of a Statutory Compliance and Safety Manager, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £547.50 - £685.44 per Day

Responsibilities:

  • acting as lead representative in matters of statutory compliance.
  • To ensure the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to its assets.
  • Support colleagues at an operational and management level to proactively establish and maintain systems that promote a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.
  • Advise the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations, and generating action plans to ensure compliance across your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct audits and inspections across the portfolio to ensure compliance with council policies and procedures, as well as legislation, and support the successful implementation of corrective and or preventive actions.
  • Lead on the provision of health and safety training, information, instruction and advice and guidance.
