Personal Assistant/Administrator

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Central Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a Personal Assistant/Administrator, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12 - £14.50 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level, professional Personal Assistant service to the Director and Deputy Directors, including effective management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports and emails in a timely manner, diary management, meeting serving and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate centralised office budgets.
  • Undertake research, prepare reports, compile data, obtain information and provide administrative support for the delivery of projects to support the work of the Director and Senior Team.
  • Demonstrate ongoing knowledge of the Department and the University and communicate this effectively to external and internal contacts as required. Carry out all duties with a high degree of diplomacy, confidentiality, tact, and initiative.
  • Develop and maintain a central system to ensure the currency and availability of Estates Services Managements structure and supporting job descriptions/person specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE, A Level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or experiential learning
  • Experience of working within a busy office and dealing with non-routine work/situations.
  • Evidence of having a focus on following up issues, completing tasks and being able to provide timely and appropriate feedback.
