Targeted Youth Support Case Support Worker

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Targeted Youth Support Case Support Worker, on a 3.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.48 - £30.13 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the EET Coordinator and Personal Advisors plan and achieve a viable education, training and employment pathway for care leavers through direct work with young people.
  • Maintain weekly contact with the active NEET caseload and record all engagement and non engagement on Mosaic, clearly evidencing all methods and attempts to engage with the YP seeking further direction from the Lead worker if necessary
  • To act as a support worker within the team, evaluate and respond to EET referrals take appropriate action and give appropriate advice, information and assistance.
  • Assist EET Coordinator with planning and preparing provisions booklet and update notice board with opportunities and promote events
  • Assist EET Coordinator planning and delivering activities to enhance young peoples chances of doing better in education, training and employment

Qualifications:

  • Good general education and evidence of high standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Good command of standard software packages in particular MS Excel
  • Knowledge of the barriers affecting care leavers progression in education, training, employment and an understanding of how to overcome these.

  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
