We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rotherham to assist with the appointment of an Emergency Care Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.69 - £17.12 per hour

Hours Per Week: 20.00

Responsibilities:

• Carry out the role of key worker for individual service users, providing assistance and guidance in areas of personal care, daily living, health, social integration and emotional support balancing complex and conflicting problems.
• Prepare, plan and facilitate implementation of the individuals care plans, support plans, risk assessments and monitor the effectiveness of these plans and take any appropriate follow-up action in conjunction with the service user, carers and other professional as appropriate.
  
• Work in partnership with others to ensure a consistent and planned care package is delivered.
  
• Ensure that parents/carers, service users receive appropriate information and are aware of their rights under appropriate legislation so they can make informed decisions.
  
• Encourage choice in daily life and promote self-advocacy and/or advocate on behalf of the service user.
  
• Assist service users to deal with behavioural difficulties or other vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Level 6 qualification e.g. Bachelor Degrees, Graduate Certificates and Diplomas, or Level 5 qualification e.g. Diplomas of HE and FE, foundation degrees and HNDs, plus experience in relevant areas of work over a period of years
  Or
• Evidence of the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience
