Telecare Support Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Telecare Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.76 - £22.99 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- To support and contribute to the overall functions of the Telecare Service; providing information, alarm call handling, advice and assistance to service users and other customers or agencies, on the Telecare and out of hours service provided by the Council.
- To act as the first point of contact for Telecare/ Assistive Technology requests, to ensure all requests are appropriately processed within prescribed systems, timescales and procedures. To effectively engage and liaise with all staff and stakeholders involved in the day to day delivery of the Telecare Service and Out of hours service.
- To support and coordinate day-to-day administrative functions for the service.
- To carry out all duties in a flexible manner to support service needs and the team rota, this includes providing co-ordinated shift support and occasionally support with shift cover.
- To assist and contribute to projects, development of new technology, customer satisfaction surveys and service improvement initiatives, including with other services and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a health / social care setting including visiting elderly and vulnerable people and working with people with conditions or disabilities that impact on their physical, psychological, cognitive or psychosocial functioning.
- Practical knowledge of how a range of Telecare /Assistive Technology equipment can be used to support health and wellbeing, and the alarm call monitoring systems that support their usage.

- This role requires an enhanced DBS
