We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newry, Mourne and Down to assist with the appointment of a Countryside Warden, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.08 - £22.76 per Hour

Responsibilities:

• To contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review strategy, policies and procedures to meet current and future requirements for Tyrella and Murlough Beaches in line with best practise and changes in legislation, which support the Councils Corporate Plan.
• To carry out market research and promote facilities, including seeking appropriate funding, develop a range of events aimed at encouraging greater enjoyment, use and appropriate public access, consistent with a visitor attraction and conservation area.
• To identify and agree an appropriate programme that meets the demands of the visitor attraction sector yet remains environmentally sensitive in terms of the conservation of the countryside experience.
• To carry out risk assessments for all countryside water hazards to ensure compliance with the Councils Water Safety policy.
• To lead, motivate appraise those staff reporting directly to the post holder within agreed timescales and promote the development of staff to ensure the coordination of all work programmes to meet and achieve the objectives of the Council.
