Contract Management Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of a Contract Management Officer, on a 1-Year contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £24.53- £31.32 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide contract management expertise in managing directorate contracts, developing and implementing strategies to meet service needs and ensure proper control of cost and process.
  • Lead areas of procurement within allocated responsibility with support of key stakeholders eg, Commissioning Team, Legal and Corporate Procurement colleagues.
  • Working effectively as part of the team and Division by, engaging with team/division members in the effective execution of projects.
  • Project manage individual procurement exercises within the post holders area of work to ensure contracts are delivered in a timely fashion, within budget and to the quality standards required.
  • Work proactively and productively within the team to ensure
    required procurement standards are consistently applied.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of equality,
    social inclusion and sustainability in the procurement framework.
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of working in a
    homelessness, housing, health or social care context and understand
    the strategic relationships between homelessness, housing and adult
    social care services.

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a contract management, project management
    or commissioning context.
  • Experience of managing complex relationships with internal and
    external stakeholders. A proven track record of working successfully
    with partner agencies and stakeholders.
  • Experience of the procurement/supplier relationship development and
    contracting process within a commissioning context.
  • Experience of initiating, developing and implementing projects and
    being accountable for project delivery within defined deadlines.
    A track record of successful project/programme management aimed at
    delivery of effective contracting arrangements.
  • Experience of analysis of financial information.
  • Experience of initiating and working within partnership arrangements
    with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of establishing and operating contract monitoring
    arrangements.
  • Experience of applying project management techniques.
