Customer Relationship Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Customer Relationship Officer, on a 2.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.76 - £23.27 per hour

Summary:

We are looking for a Customer Relationship Officer to support and manage the Councils customer engagement and communication strategies related to housing investment programmes. This role is key to fostering strong community relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relations and engagement across housing investment projects.
  • Resolve issues with residents, officers, contractors, and other stakeholders at project level.
  • Organise and lead consultation and resident engagement events.
  • Conduct surveys and collect feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with area offices, stakeholder forums, and partner organisations.
  • Ensure service providers adhere to agreed customer care standards and appointment commitments.
  • Support service delivery through consultation, customer feedback, and communication protocols.
  • Attend meetings or emergencies outside of standard working hours when required.

Essentials:

  • Knowledge of best practices in community consultation and housing legislation.
  • Experience delivering frontline customer service and working with contractors.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
