We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Greenwich to assist with the appointment of an Electrician, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £25.44 - £31.94 per hour

Summary:

The Electrician will undertake a broad range of professional electrical work in domestic properties across all Building Services contracts. This includes installations, repairs, inspections, and testing in compliance with QCC standards and NICEIC regulations. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, often supervising apprentices or other trades, and ensuring accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide variety of skilled electrical tasks, including repairs, installations, testing, and maintenance across domestic properties.
• Complete certification work in accordance with NICEIC or equivalent standards, assuming personal responsibility for compliance.
• Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment, ensuring calibration and safety protocols are followed.
• Use engineering drawings to accurately lay out and complete work.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all work performed and materials used in accordance with Schedule of Rates (SOR).

Qualifications:

• City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing Certificate (or equivalent).
• Qualified electrician status (e.g., City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations).
• Full understanding of domestic electrical systems and current IET Wiring Regulations.
• Valid driving license appropriate to vehicle use.
• Proven experience working in domestic settings.
