Business Support Assistant
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.18 - £15.29 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of goods and services from a wide variety of Vendors for teams across the County, raising purchase orders, confirming receipt, and liaising with requisitioners
- Inputting on to the BMS/SAP system raising orders from teams within the council for a variety of goods/services that are required.
- Resolving of queries that occur with orders, payments, contacting various departments/vendors to resolve.
- Inputting on to excel spread sheet, payments that need to be processed for Travel claims.
- Chasing for approval of invoices that have been received into payments.
- Emailing for authorisation from requestor, uploading information /confirmation for audit trail, then to process on to payments to pay.
- Resolving of issues, to avoid further delay of payments.
Required Abilities & Skills:
- Accuracy, numeracy, and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure are essential requirements of the post along with excellent administrative clerical skills including good organisational skills using a methodical approach and working withing business support standards and processes.
- You must be competent in the use of spreadsheets and databases, as data inputting is a key task you will be asked to complete.
