We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Pontypridd to assist with the appointment of a Senior Engineer, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £29.50 - £36.54 per hour

Responsibilities:

• To make a positive contribution to the achievement of the objectives and performance targets as set out in the Business Plan for the Strategic Projects Section.
• To assist in the management of the resources, financial, human and physical of the Strategic Projects Section.
• To develop, implement and manage the Local Flood Risk Strategy.
• To assist in the management and implementation of all requirements of the Land Drainage Act 1991, Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and Flood Risk Regulations 2009.
• To consider outline and detailed planning applications for their potential effects on local sources if flood risk and to respond accordingly to the Development Control Section.

Qualifications:

• Qualified to HNC/HND level in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.
• Knowledge of Drainage and/or Flood Risk Management
• Experience in Drainage and/or Flood Risk Management
