We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Learning Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.59 -£26.96 per hour 

Responsibilities:

• Create and lead imaginative cross curricular learning programmes for Islingtons primary, special and secondary schools relevant to the National Curriculum
• Collaborate with colleagues at the Cally Clock Tower Centre to establish a joint and complementary learning programme at both sites
  
• Collaborate with the community to co-produce exciting, fun community programmes including family, under 5s activities
  
• Develop, promote and deliver a programme of activities for families and for under 5s
  
• Develop and maintain internal partnerships that will help to achieve the services programming vision and objectives, including colleagues in adult care, childrens services and Childrens Centres etc.

Qualifications :

• Recognised professional museum or heritage education qualification

Experience:

• Experience of working in a heritage site, museum or similar cultural environment
• Knowledge of, and commitment to, the educational and wellbeing role of heritage sites and parks, and the awareness of current thinking around this
• Experience of designing and delivering learning programmes that meet the identified needs of a target audience, such as families, schools,
  people facing discrimination or social exclusion
• Experience of collaborating and co-producing learning initiatives with partner organisations and targeted groups to produce new, innovative learning initiatives
• Experience of managing volunteers and student placements
