Technical Assistant
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Technical Assistant, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.56 - £18.61 per hour
Summary:
The Technical Assistant role involves carrying out repetitive administrative tasks, including data entry, document scanning, and data transfer, while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a demanding environment and capable of handling routine tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and update information accurately into the council's computer systems.
- Transfer data between systems while maintaining data integrity.
- Scan, organise, and electronically file documents.
- Process emails and undertake general administrative duties.
- Ensure all records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Read and interpret Ordnance Survey maps where required.
Essentials:
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to undertake repetitive administrative work consistently.
- Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret Ordnance Survey maps.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
