Transformation Manager

 Job Description:

We are working closely with a local authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Transformation Manager, on a 13-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £26.16- £34.58 per hour

Summary:

The Transformation Manager will lead and deliver strategic transformation programmes across Adult Social Care, ensuring successful implementation of service improvements that enhance outcomes for adults, carers and communities. The postholder will oversee complex change programmes from inception through delivery, ensuring projects are completed within agreed quality, timescale and budget parameters while achieving measurable benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development and delivery of strategic transformation programmes across Adult Care and Support services.
  • Develop programme governance arrangements, project plans, risk registers, benefits realisation frameworks and performance monitoring processes.
  • Secure funding opportunities through business cases, bids and partnership initiatives where appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of innovative approaches, digital transformation and technology-enabled care solutions where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, statutory responsibilities, Council policies and programme management methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Recognised Programme or Project Management qualification (e.g. MSP, Agile, PRINCE2 Practitioner) or substantial equivalent experience.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience leading large-scale transformation, organisational change or service improvement programmes.
  • Financial management experience including budget planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience supporting operational service redesign and business transformation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organisational change and transformation principles.
  • Understanding of Adult Social Care legislation, policy and integrated service delivery.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk management, benefits realisation and performance reporting.
