Community Warden

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rugby to assist with the appointment of a Community Warden, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14.32 - £18.15 per hour

Summary:

The Community Warden will undertake proactive and intelligence-led patrols, respond to community concerns, investigate environmental issues and support the Council in making Rugby cleaner, greener and safer.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out enforcement patrols and respond to a range of Council issues across the Borough.
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices, Penalty Charge Notices and enforce Public Space Protection Orders.
  • Deal with offences and breaches including littering, parking contraventions, fly-tipping, trade waste, dog control, stray dogs, noise nuisance and smoke nuisance.
  • Undertake machine checks and report or address parking and environmental defects.
  • Respond to emergency food, health and safety service reports where required.
  • Support licensing investigations and undertake taxi rank inspections.

  • Good team-working skills with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and assigned duties.
  • Ability to deal confidently and effectively with conflict and confrontational situations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with members of the public and people at all levels.
  • Ability to work at pace, manage high volumes of work and meet deadlines.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
