Youth Justice Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Solihull to assist with the appointment of a Youth Justice Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £23.49 - £31.50 per hour
Summary:
A Youth Justice Officer is required to work with children and young people within the Youth Justice Service.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with children and young people involved with the Youth Justice Service.
- Complete YJS AssetPlus assessments and develop appropriate plans based on individual needs and risks.
- Complete Prevention and Diversion assessments where required.
- Manage a caseload effectively and ensure all casework is completed within required timescales.
- Assess and manage risks and safeguarding concerns relating to children and young people.
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Youth Justice or a related field.
- Qualified Social Workers who are willing to move into a specialist Youth Justice Officer role will be considered.
Essentials:
- Previous Youth Justice Service (YJS) experience is essential.
- Experience completing YJS AssetPlus assessments.
- Experience completing Prevention/Diversion assessment.
- Strong experience working directly with children and young people.
- Experience in assessment, case management and risk management.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
