We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Temporary Accommodation Decant Officer on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.84- £24.83 per hour

Summary:

Westminster City Council is looking for a proactive and empathetic Temporary Accommodation Decant Officer to join the housing services team. This pivotal temporary role involves the careful, efficient, and dignified case management of residents in temporary accommodation during decant processes. The officer will be responsible for managing all resident queries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring temporary accommodation is matched appropriately to individual customer needs. The role requires strong communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to independently drive workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Update housing systems and spreadsheets as required.
  • Assess and match types of temporary accommodation to customer needs, ensuring suitability and efficient utilisation.
  • Accurately record and case manage all queries received.
  • This role has No budget or line management responsibilities.
  • Flexible/agile working arrangements are available, but the officer must be able to work in Victoria.

Essentials:

  • Mandatory experience in housing or public sector environments
  • Experience in temporary accommodation or homelessness is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage cases and maintain accurate records.
