DLO Electrician
Job Description:
We are working closely with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of a DLO Electrician, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £19.30- £25.47 per hour
Summary:
The DLO Electrician is responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and inspection services across Southern Housing's residential properties. The role involves carrying out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, electrical installations, inspections, testing, fault diagnosis, portable appliance testing (PAT), and certification while delivering excellent customer service to residents, colleagues, and partner organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, and improvement works to domestic and residential properties.
- Conduct electrical inspections, testing, surveys, and condition reports in accordance with current regulations.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, safe systems of work, and risk assessment procedures.
- Follow company policies relating to safeguarding, equality, diversity, customer care, and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification plus AM2
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2
- City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 (from September 2011)
- City & Guilds 2365 Levels 2 and 3 plus AM2
- City & Guilds 2357 (including AM2)
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346) plus AM2E
Essentials:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical installation and/or electrical maintenance.
- Experience carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance within domestic or residential properties.
- Experience undertaking electrical testing, inspection, and certification.
- Thorough knowledge of BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, inspection, certification, and fault-finding procedures.
