Rate of Pay: £184.00 - £242.28 per day

Summary:

Slough Borough Council is seeking a Public Health Intelligence Officer to support the strategic development and delivery of public health and community safety programmes through high-quality data analysis, health intelligence and performance reporting.

The role will lead on the analysis of data for the Safer Slough Partnership, identifying trends, monitoring performance and providing intelligence to support evidence-based decision-making. You will also support specialist projects, develop and maintain dashboards, contribute to Slough's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), and produce analytical reports for senior managers and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the collection, analysis and interpretation of public health and community safety data.
• Produce analytical reports, dashboards, presentations and health intelligence for senior managers and key stakeholders.
• Analyse crime, community safety and public health data to identify trends, patterns and areas of need.
• Support the production and maintenance of Slough's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) resources.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards for performance reporting.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Public Health or a health-related field.

Essentials:

• Significant experience working within Public Health or a related area, including statistical analysis.
• Experience evaluating projects, particularly preventive programmes and health interventions.
• Experience working with multiple sets of health-related data and information systems.
• Experience applying project management principles and reporting on outcomes and budgets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, statistical and epidemiological methods, including GIS and statistical software.
