The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 10 years post-article experience in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial performance and growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control costs to optimize financial performance. Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the companys long-term goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certified Chartered Accountant (CASA): Must be a registered Chartered Accountant in South Africa.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-article experience in financial management roles.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and corporate finance principles.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing finance teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
